Cloud-scale storage for AI applications
Regatta is infinitely scaleable cloud storage that is highly-performant for all your AI applications. With direct S3 bucket integration, Regatta enables instant access to massive datasets, eliminating transfer delays and accelerating time-to-insight.
AI applications rely on Regatta to share data without the need to checkpoint or backup to S3. Regatta functions as a regular file system, fully compatible with your applications – no code changes needed.

Features
30x faster than S3
Regatta makes existing data sets available to applications instantly, providing sub-millisecond access to data in S3 – a 30x speed improvement compared to using S3 directly. Improve application data transfer performance by eliminating data download and decompression time.
Features
Unlimited local disk
Because it’s designed for today’s modern AI applications, Regatta scales infinitely for any application. Once you’ve turned on Regatta, you’ll never think about running out of disk space, scaling volumes, or sharding data again.

Features
Your software, faster storage
Regatta transforms your S3 buckets into a cloud-based file system that’s structured exactly like files on your local disk. Use it with your existing Pandas, PyTorch, and Spark applications – no special libraries needed. Just mount Regatta, point your application to it, and see instant performance improvements.

- Features
Share data without managing disks
Because Regatta abstracts your underlying storage, applications can share data sets from any compute environment without worrying about managing the underlying disks or data transfer.

Features
Local storage that scales
Only pay for the data you use as you use it. Regatta automatically handles performance and capacity scaling so you don’t have to.
Pay as you go
Only pay for the data that you transfer and access frequently with Regatta - no provisioning required.
Durable
Regatta is designed to provide 5 9s of durability to newly written data before it's flushed to your S3 bucket.
Performant
Regatta provides fast, sub-millisecond latencies for file system operations.
POSIX compliant
With support for all file system features (including append, rename, and hard links), Regatta is compatible with all file-based applications
Avoid Vendor Lock-In
Data is always placed in your S3 bucket for long-term storage. If you decide to stop using Regatta, your data is still available with the S3 API.
S3 API Compatible
Regatta is compatible with most object storage systems which implement the S3 API (such as Cloudflare R2, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage).
How does Regatta work?
Regatta uses centralized, shared caching to stage data written by your application before propagating that data to your backing S3 object storage. Most changes on your Regatta file system appear on the S3 backing storage within 5 minutes of completion.
What performance does Regatta offer?
Regatta is designed to provide sub-millisecond latencies for most metadata, write, and reads of frequently-accessed data. Regatta supports up to 10 GiB/s of total throughput from all connected file system clients.
How does Regatta compare to S3FS?
S3FS, and other S3 file system views (including Goofys, S3A, and Mountpoint for Amazon S3) only support a small number of file operations, and many applications (such as logging, or model building) are not supported. Regatta supports all file functionality and is compatible with all POSIX file applications.
How does Regatta compare to ObjectiveFS?
ObjectiveFS is not designed to be used with existing S3 buckets, and isn’t optimized for use with multi-instance workloads. You can’t access data written using ObjectiveFS from the S3 API natively. Regatta uses centralized caching across all instances so that file system updates are available instantly to all clients, and is designed to work with the data that you’ve already stored in S3 object storage.
